Sunday Funday

Everyone loves a day to goof off and have some fun. Here’s how to do it like a Goldsboro local.

The abridged version:

Grab your crew and head to brunch at Brisas (pictured) or Momento Tapas. Both restaurants are favorites among locals and downtown regulars. Starting a Sunday Funday with a full belly is a must and we’d suggest the Avocado Sunrise or Hey Dude Eggwich, but if you have a sweet tooth the French toast is the way to go.

Stick around downtown after brunch and check out the weekly karaoke at Goldsboro Brew Works. I’ve heard it described as “proper karaoke” and I couldn’t agree more. It’s a mix of good and bad singers, but what everyone has in common is enthusiasm. And the audience participation is unmatched…cheering and singing along no matter who’s on “stage.” Need some extra courage? Mimosas and beermosas are on special.

Full send:

Pick what sounds good to you or try your best to check them all off of the list. Most of these places have active social media and Google listings, so check them out before you make your decision about what to do.

Brunch at Brisas
Bottomless mimosas at Brewmasters
Second brunch or a cocktail at Momento Tapas
Karaoke at Goldsboro Brew Works
Play a round or two of pool at Silver Spur
Second Karaoke at Morgan’s Nightclub

This goes without saying, but have a designated driver if you plan on partaking in adult beverages at each place. We also have a good amount of ride-share drivers in Goldsboro.
